E. Robert Berends Jr., Esq. focuses his practice on business law and planning, real estate, estate planning, elder law and probate.
My practice: assists owners as they plan for the growth and succession of their businesses; advises persons and businesses with their real estate issues; and helps families protect their loved ones, preserve their wealth, plan for life, deal with death, and minimize estate and gift taxes. To attain my clients’ objectives, we form corporations and limited liability companies; prepare buy-sell agreements; advise on real estate matters; prepare Living Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Advance Health Care Directives, Irrevocable Trusts, Family Limited Partnerships, and options for charitable giving; and advise trustees, executors and beneficiaries in the administration of decedents' estates.
My goals are to understand and be sensitive to my clients’ concerns; to make my clients feel comfortable discussing significant and sensitive issues concerning their lives, families and businesses; and to furnish my clients with all the information they need to make informed decisions about the future. What sets my practice apart from other attorneys is the personal relationship I develop with my clients and the guidance and support we provide in helping clients make informed decisions. It is this long-term focus, when combined with attention to detail and high degree of technical skill that my clients value most. I am committed to serving my clients, responding to them quickly, and producing high quality work in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Because we know how demanding life can be, I endeavor to make our meetings and, ultimately, accomplishing our mutual objectives, as easy and seamless as possible for my clients, I am also available to meet with my clients in their homes or places of business.
